Post-construction cleaning is the deep reset a space needs after any renovation, new build, or remodel. Construction dust is not household dust. It is a fine, abrasive powder that settles into window tracks, cabinet hinges, vents, and every textured surface, and it can keep circulating for weeks if it is not removed properly. A post-construction clean takes that dust out at the source, along with drywall residue, sawdust, paint splatters, adhesive and tape residue, and the light debris trades leave behind. The goal is simple: every renovated surface should look as good as the day the contractor finished, with nothing left for you to scrub yourself.

A proper after-renovation clean is never a single pass. Our cleaners work in three stages, moving from the heaviest buildup to the finest detail, so nothing gets smeared, scratched, or missed.

Stage 1: The Rough Clean

The rough clean tackles the visible layer of the mess. Your cleaners remove light construction debris, drywall dust, and loose sawdust from floors and surfaces, clear window sills and ledges, and wipe down the heaviest buildup before any wet cleaning begins. Wiping a dusty surface with water only turns it into mud, so this pass stays dry and systematic, resetting each room before the deeper work starts.

Stage 2: The Final Clean

With the heavy dust gone, the final clean works through every surface room by room. We spot-clean walls, wipe baseboards, clean doors, frames, and switch plates, and clean window sills and frames. Kitchen cabinet fronts are wiped, bathrooms get a full scrub of tile, grout lines, fixtures, and mirrors, and floors are vacuumed and mopped from the back of the room to the door. This is the pass where the space starts to look like the renovation you paid for.

Stage 3: The Detail and Polish Phase

The detail phase is what separates a post-construction clean from a standard wipe-down. Your cleaners go back through with the tools and products made for construction residue: removing paint splatters and adhesive or tape residue from glass, frames, and floors, polishing fixtures and hardware, cleaning vents and register covers, and checking the crevices where fine dust collects. The job ends with a room-by-room inspection, floor to ceiling, so the handover is truly move-in ready.

Every renovation leaves a different amount of dust, debris, and residue, so your price is based on the size of your home and the scope of the project, and you see it before you book. On the booking form, post-renovation cleaning starts at $439 before HST for a studio or 1 bedroom home under 600 sq ft and scales with size, with every extra itemized, so you know exactly what is included before your cleaners arrive.

Book your post-construction clean once all construction work is complete, large debris and tools are cleared from the site, and no contractors are working in the home. We recommend booking a few days ahead so the date lines up with your project handover, and you choose your time as you book. Because fine dust settles for a while after the initial clean, a second visit a few weeks later is common and worth planning for, and it pairs naturally with a regular cleaning schedule once you are settled in.
